Compensation: $140,000–$150,000 per year, annualized based on experience

Schedule: ROTA schedule of one week on/one week off, Wednesday–Wednesday. During the on week, one nanny works approximately 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. while the other nanny has overnight responsibility, alternating overnight coverage every couple of nights. The overnight nanny stays in the home while on overnight duty.

About the Family

A busy, highly organized family in Lincoln Park is seeking an accomplished and professional ROTA Nanny to join their established team of four ROTA nannies. The family has five children: a 4-year-old boy, 3-year-old girl, 15-month-old identical twin boys, and 4-month-old baby girl. The children follow a very active and structured routine within a fully staffed household.

Dad works full-time outside the home, while Mom is a stay-at-home parent with an extremely active schedule and is frequently in and out of the home. The family travels periodically and maintains a busy lifestyle. They have four Pomeranians, and pet care is required. There are no household dietary restrictions or allergies, although one child has occasional food sensitivities.

About the Role

This is a very hands-on and physically demanding role supporting five young children in a genuinely busy household. The ROTA Nannies work collaboratively across all five children rather than dividing the children between caregivers, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable jumping in wherever needed and working closely alongside another nanny.

The children are sweet, active, and developmentally engaged. The 4-year-old is silly, observant, affectionate, and has an incredible memory; the 3-year-old is bright, spirited, determined, and strong-willed; the 15-month-old twins are affectionate, active, and increasingly mobile; and the baby is very alert and developmentally advanced for her age. The ideal candidate will provide warm, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care while maintaining clear boundaries, consistency, and follow-through.

The ROTA Nannies are also responsible for child-related household tasks and should naturally pitch in with laundry, maintaining children’s spaces, preparing meals and snacks, packing, school and activity preparation, inventory, and other tasks needed to keep the children and household running smoothly.

This is a fairly formal household with minimal day-to-day communication with the parents. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating independently within established systems, using excellent judgment and initiative, and managing responsibilities without frequent parent direction or feedback. The ROTA Nannies will eventually work under the direction of a Lead Nanny.

The family is seeking a polished, highly professional candidate with significant professional co-nanny or team experience and substantial experience caring for multiple young children in a genuinely busy household. HNW/UHNW or similarly formal, fully staffed private-home experience is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative and low-ego, comfortable working as part of a team, and able to contribute positively to an established household dynamic. A warm but firm and authoritative caregiving style, strong boundaries, consistency, and excellent follow-through are important.

Domestic and international travel may be required.

Requirements:

• Significant professional nanny experience

• Significant professional co-nanny or team experience

• Substantial experience caring for multiple young children in a busy household

• Previous experience in an HNW/UHNW or similarly formal, fully staffed private home strongly preferred

• Experience caring for infants, toddlers, twins, and preschool-aged children

• Highly polished and professional approach

• Excellent judgment, initiative, organization, and follow-through

• Comfortable working independently with minimal parent involvement

• Collaborative, low-ego approach and strong teamwork skills

• Comfortable eventually working under the direction of a Lead Nanny

• Warm but firm and authoritative caregiving style

• Strong understanding of child development

• Comfortable working within established household systems and routines

• Willingness to proactively assist with child-related household duties

• Comfortable with child-related laundry, meals/snacks, packing, school/activity preparation, and inventory

• Valid driver’s license and strong driving experience

• Comfortable driving children regularly using a family-provided vehicle

• Flexibility for domestic and international travel

• Comfortable providing pet care for four dogs

• Excellent references from previous families and employers

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Pets: Four Pomeranians. Pet care is required.

Transportation: Family provides a nanny car for all on-the-job driving. Driving may include transportation to activities, birthday parties, errands, appointments, and other child-related activities.

Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required.

Relocation: Strong local candidates and relocation candidates are welcome. Relocation assistance and fly-in/fly-out support are available for the right fit.
