Our Nanny screening Process

While finding and recruiting nannies is an important part of our process and the reason many families come to Sommet Nannies, it is only the first step of our process.

Each applicant goes through a rigorous internal screening process prior to being introduced to any family in order for us to ensure that each and every applicant we represent is qualified and prepared to accept a long-term role with any family we are working with. Once you begin meeting applicants, the deciding factors can be surrounding personality match, not minimum requirements.

How do you find the perfect nanny?

We’re dedicated to introducing you to candidates who will easily and effortlessly fit into your home, your family, and will be the right fit for your children and household dynamic.

We’re diligent in our search and ensure we pair each family with their ideal nanny -so much so that more than half of the families who work with us hire the first nanny we introduce them to.

These are the steps we take to make sure we only recommend exceptional candidates who are a good fit for you and your family.

 

Our process for ensuring we find the right nanny for you and your family

First, fill out our Family Registration to share some preliminary information about your family and tell us about the person you’re looking for.

We will schedule a phone/Zoom call to discuss the details of your childcare needs and answer any questions you have about our process.

We will craft a customized job description and begin the delicate matchmaking and vetting process

Based on your specific criteria, we will recruit and personally match you with the candidates most suitable for your position

We will coordinate both Zoom and in-person interviews with candidates you express interest in as well as schedule follow-up meetings and a trial day.

When you are ready to offer your position to a candidate, we will walk you through the onboarding process step by step, ensuring that it’s a perfect fit

Our comprehensive Nanny Screening process

Each applicant undergoes our intensive vetting process, initially eliminating over 90% of applicants. This ensures that families working with us only invest their time in applicants who we have already vetted and determined to be a true fit for their position:

  • Ability to commit to a family long-term (our placements typically last for 2-5 years)

  • Professional, loving and well-suited demeanor for working with children

  • A full background check, including 50-state criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and social security verification
