Description:
An international, welcoming family in Madrid is seeking a warm, upbeat, and energetic nanny to join their household and care primarily for their 1-year-old daughter. This role offers the rare opportunity to live and work abroad with relocation costs covered by the family. The ideal candidate is loving, playful, and developmentally attuned—someone who genuinely enjoys young children and brings a calm, enthusiastic presence to the home. A background in education is a major plus, and the family is looking for someone who can grow with them over the next year or longer.

Location: Madrid, Spain

Child: Two girls 1 and 6 years old

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 or 6:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Live-In or Live-Out: Both options available
Compensation: $30–$35/hour USD (highly competitive for the region) 

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses one week), 5 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, and a monthly healthcare stipend if needed

Live-Out: Nanny can choose to live in or live out of the home

Household Dynamic:
The family’s youngest daughter is home full-time, while their 6-year-old attends school during the day. The home is staffed with a live-in housekeeper who handles the majority of cooking and cleaning, however occasional help will be appreciated. The family loves healthy eating, travel, and quality time together. They value a nanny who is flexible, kind, and capable of balancing fun with structure. Travel—both international and within the U.S.. 

Ideal Candidate:
The family is looking for someone who is active, and naturally positive—someone who can bring joy and consistency to the girls’ days. You should be confident managing routines, supporting learning through play, and assisting with basic family tasks. A love for travel is a plus, and the family appreciates a nanny who is communicative, calm, and excited to be a long-term part of their lives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide loving, developmentally appropriate care, primarily for a 1-year-old

  • Engage both children in enriching, screen-free activities and play

  • Support simple routines including school pickup/drop-off (car provided)

  • Assist with light tidying, basic laundry for the children, and simple meal prep

  • Collaborate with the family and household staff in a respectful, team-based environment

  • Join the family for occasional travel, if available

Qualifications:

  • Must hold Madrid/EU citizenship (or dual with the U.S.)

  • 3+ years of professional nanny experience, ideally with infants and toddlers

  • Valid driver’s license (car provided)

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

  • Energetic, positive, and developmentally minded

  • Comfortable working in a staffed home

  • Open to a live-in or live-out arrangement

  • Long-term availability preferred (minimum 1-year commitment)
