Description:

A development-focused family relocating from NYC to Lincoln Park is seeking a loving, proactive, and highly reliable nanny to care for their bright and curious 2-year-old daughter. She is independent, advanced for her age, loves music, dancing, reading, and hands-on learning. She attends Montessori school Monday–Wednesday from 8:30 AM–2:00 PM, and spends the rest of her week exploring local classes, playdates, and outdoor activities. The family follows a no-screen-time policy during the week and values a nanny who will take initiative in planning enriching routines.

Household Dynamic
The family travels often—5–8 domestic and international trips per year—including time in NYC (where they maintain an apartment), annual visits to Maine, and extended family in Chicago, Texas, and California. A passport is required, and the nanny should be comfortable maintaining consistency while traveling.

No pets and no household allergies.

Ideal Candidate
The family seeks a nanny who is:

  • Warm and nurturing, while confident setting boundaries

  • Deeply invested in early learning and literacy

  • Flexible, dependable, and able to manage long days independently

  • Proactive in researching classes, scheduling playdates, and creating social opportunities

  • Comfortable with frequent travel and occasional overnights

  • Health-conscious and capable of preparing nutritious meals

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care and developmentally rich engagement for one toddler

  • Plan daily outings, learning activities, and social interactions

  • Handle Montessori school drop-off and pick-up

  • Prepare meals and snacks for the child; occasional simple meal prep for parents

  • Manage child laundry, organizational tasks, and seasonal wardrobe rotation

  • Maintain a consistently tidy and well-run environment

  • Run errands as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with toddlers and high-hour nanny schedules

  • Comfortable with travel and overnights

  • Driver’s license required (family vehicle provided for on-duty use)

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Benefits

  • $110,000–$130,000 per year

  • Paid holidays

  • Paid vacation

  • Annual discretionary bonus

  • Family vehicle available for use during working hours

If you’re a devoted, organized, and development-minded nanny who thrives in a hands-on role and values long-term placement, this could be a wonderful fit. We’d love to hear from you!
