Location: Phillips Park (Washington, D.C.)
Children: 6‑year‑old girl & 3‑year‑old boy
Start Date: End of July or early August (flexible)
Schedule:
School Year Hours: 7–8:30 AM and 2–8 PM (Although this is a split shift, the role is a guaranteed 65‑hour workweek. The family understands the value of downtime, and the nanny will have significant free time between morning and afternoon shifts. You must be available for the full day in case of schedule changes, but you can generally use this time for personal errands, appointments, or relaxation.)
The children will be in school from approximately 8 AM–3 PM, allowing the nanny significant free time during the day.
3 overnights per month required
Guaranteed 65 hours per week
Compensation: $120K–$150K+ year (depending on experience)

About the Family:
A warm, welcoming family recently relocated from London to Washington, D.C., is seeking an experienced, professional full‑time nanny. They have a 6‑year‑old girl and a 3‑year‑old boy, both active and engaged in activities like piano, football, judo, and chess. The 6‑year‑old is in school full‑time, and the 3‑year‑old is in a half‑day program and still naps daily. The family embraces a mostly vegetarian lifestyle and plans to gradually introduce fish to the children’s meals.
Responsibilities:
Provide high‑quality, attentive care and supervision
Support morning and afternoon routines (school prep, drop‑off/pick‑up support)
Maintain structure and consistency throughout the day
Assist with children’s laundry, toy rotation, and general tidying related to the children
Prep simple meals (mom handles most cooking)
Travel with the family when required (passport required)
Ideal Candidate:
Professional, warm, and calm under pressure
Highly organized, proactive, and routine‑oriented
Developmentally thoughtful and able to balance structure with play
Strong communicator who works well in collaboration with parents
Comfortable managing two children with different schedules
Local to D.C. or open to relocating
Willing and able to provide 3 overnights per month
