About the Family:
A lovely family relocating from London to Washington, D.C. is seeking a professional, experienced ROTA nanny to join their household. The children are active, curious, and engaged in extracurriculars such as piano, football, judo, and chess. Screen-time is allowed but intentionally limited. The 6-year-old attends school full-time and the 3-year-old is in a half-day program and still naps daily.

The household values warmth, structure, and a calm, engaging presence. The family enjoys a mostly vegetarian diet and would like to gradually introduce fish to the children’s meals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, attentive care during scheduled weeks

  • Support school routines, transitions, and extracurricular activities

  • Manage children’s laundry, toy rotation, and general tidying

  • Prep simple meals (mom handles most cooking)

  • Maintain structure, routines, and consistency

  • Accompany family on occasional travel (passport required)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous ROTA experience required

  • Warm, bubbly, and calm under pressure

  • Candidate must be local to the D.C. area or be willing to relocate

  • Highly organized, tidy, and proactive

  • Routine-oriented and developmentally thoughtful

  • Strong communicator who is positive and collaborative

  • Comfortable with both structured and flexible environments

  • Confident managing two children with different schedules

Interview Process:
Initial Zoom interviews, with in-person meetings in Washington, D.C. once the family has arrived.
