About the Family:
A lovely family relocating from London to Washington, D.C. is seeking a professional, experienced ROTA nanny to join their household. The children are active, curious, and engaged in extracurriculars such as piano, football, judo, and chess. Screen-time is allowed but intentionally limited. The 6-year-old attends school full-time and the 3-year-old is in a half-day program and still naps daily.
The household values warmth, structure, and a calm, engaging presence. The family enjoys a mostly vegetarian diet and would like to gradually introduce fish to the children’s meals.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, attentive care during scheduled weeks
Support school routines, transitions, and extracurricular activities
Manage children’s laundry, toy rotation, and general tidying
Prep simple meals (mom handles most cooking)
Maintain structure, routines, and consistency
Accompany family on occasional travel (passport required)
Ideal Candidate:
Previous ROTA experience required
Warm, bubbly, and calm under pressure
Candidate must be local to the D.C. area or be willing to relocate
Highly organized, tidy, and proactive
Routine-oriented and developmentally thoughtful
Strong communicator who is positive and collaborative
Comfortable with both structured and flexible environments
Confident managing two children with different schedules
Interview Process:
Initial Zoom interviews, with in-person meetings in Washington, D.C. once the family has arrived.
