About the Family
A warm and welcoming family currently based in Cambridge and relocating to Lincoln at the end of May is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and developmentally minded nanny to care for their 6-week-old son. He is a happy baby who is beginning to settle into a rhythm, sleeping in 2–3 hour stretches, feeding every few hours, and enjoying stroller naps as he gradually establishes his routine.
Both parents maintain hybrid work schedules, dividing their time between the office and separate home offices. They value a collaborative, communicative relationship with their nanny and are looking for someone who brings a calm, thoughtful presence to their home. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely loves working with infants, is knowledgeable about early childhood development, and is eager to partner with parents in a supportive and respectful way. The family has a friendly Labrador retriever, so comfort with dogs is essential.
About the Role
This role is centered on providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a young infant. Responsibilities include supporting feeding routines, establishing healthy sleep habits, and engaging the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage growth and exploration.
The nanny will also assist with a range of household tasks to help the home run smoothly. These include baby-related responsibilities such as bottle cleaning and sanitation, as well as broader family support such as laundry, light tidying and organization, kitchen upkeep, meal preparation, and taking out the garbage. While care should always remain child-focused, the family appreciates support where time allows.
The family values a nanny who promotes time outdoors, limits screen use for the child and themselves during working hours, and contributes to a positive, health-conscious environment. They are seeking someone who is collaborative, open to feedback, and brings a growth-oriented mindset to their work.
There may be opportunities for domestic or international travel, though this is not a requirement and no trips are planned.
