boston fall bucket list!

Photo of Boston common in the fall. Trees have red, gold, yellow and green leaves that are reflected in a pond in the foreground. Skyscrapers are in the background.

As new seasons approach, it is always our goal to show our children how to appreciate the changes. Here in Boston, there are so many attractions to see during the fall. Here are some attractions that you can bring your whole family for some foliage fun!

  1. Head on over to the Arnold Arboretum to admire the foliage

A 280-acre preserve in the heart of Boston, this property of Harvard University stewards one of the world’s most comprehensive and best documented collections of temperate woody plants, with particular focus on the floras of eastern North America and eastern Asia.

2. Visit the Immersive Monet and Impressionists exhibit this fall

Located at Boston’s Castle, you and your children can experience art from a whole new perspective.

3. Have a picnic!

Here in Boston, we are lucky to have some fall months that are still warm enough for some al fresco dining! Visit one Bostons outdoor restaurants that are still offering dining in the cool fall air.

4. Say hi to some Zoo animals!

There is no shortage of animals in Boston. Head on over to the many zoos for a brisk walk among the lions and gorillas! We love the Franklin Zoo for its new Gorilla exhibit.

5. Pick some delicious McIntosh apples!

Head on over to the many Boston apple orchards and grab a few bags of the delicious, crisp apples. I love Look-out farm in Natick for their offering of self-pick apples, peaches, and Asian pears. They also have some local ciders and delicious food in their dining area.

We love Boston in the Fall and we hope you get the chance to bring your children to these attractions! Enjoy!
