The family requires significant flexibility and will make every effort to provide at least one month’s notice whenever possible. Weekend hours will vary based on family events and may occasionally fall between 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. Occasional date-night and event support is also required.

A warm, family-oriented executive family with homes in Chicago and Miami is seeking a highly organized, nurturing, and proactive Nanny/House Manager. The family lives primarily in Chicago’s West Loop and spends approximately half the year in Coconut Grove, Miami.
The family has a 2.25-year-old daughter and is expecting a baby boy in February 2027. Their daughter is very sweet, affectionate, girly, highly intelligent, and easygoing. She loves babies and enjoys gymnastics and swim lessons and is currently working on potty training. Mom plans to exclusively breastfeed their son.
The family values someone who is observant, highly detail-oriented, adaptable, active, organized, and proactive—someone who can anticipate needs, connect the dots, and create a predictable and seamless household.
Mom is a stay-at-home parent and will be actively involved in the household. Dad works primarily from home and typically spends the day in his office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely alongside Mom and navigating a household where parents may be present.
The family has a sweet and friendly 6-year-old Golden Retriever. There are no dietary restrictions for the children, although Mom is vegetarian.
About the Role
This is a unique Nanny/House Manager position combining hands-on childcare with household management. The role will initially focus more heavily on the toddler while supporting the household as the family welcomes their new baby.
During the newborn stage, the role will be approximately 75% focused on the toddler and 25% household management, transitioning toward a more balanced 50/50 split between childcare and household management as the baby gets older.
The nanny will provide engaging, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care while maintaining consistent routines and anticipating the family's needs. The family is specifically seeking someone with strong newborn experience who can support them through the transition of welcoming a new baby. Overnight support will be required during the newborn stage, including the potential for approximately one week of overnight support around the baby's arrival.
Household responsibilities will include child-related laundry, kitchen tidying, light home organization, simple meal preparation, chopping fruits and vegetables, grocery shopping, household errands, maintaining household inventory, managing contractors, seasonal children's clothing inventory, taking out the garbage, pet care, and servicing family cars.
Pet care includes 1–2 walks with the Golden Retriever during an 8-hour shift, typically 1–2 miles, as well as weekly brushing. Dad may handle a walk when he is home. The nanny may occasionally care for the dog when the family is traveling without her.
The family can provide a nanny car for on-the-job driving. Both homes are located in walkable areas, but the nanny should be comfortable driving for children's activities, errands, and household responsibilities.
The family travels domestically and internationally, including approximately one international trip per year. The nanny should be comfortable traveling with the family and between their Chicago and Miami homes. The nanny may occasionally have a weekend available to travel home, depending on the family's schedule.
Above all, the family is looking for someone nurturing, highly observant, detail-oriented, adaptable, active, organized, and naturally proactive. The ideal candidate will read the room, anticipate what needs to happen next, maintain appropriate boundaries, and work collaboratively with Mom. Requirements:
Prior professional nanny experience
Strong experience caring for toddlers and newborns
Excellent organizational and household-management skills

Spanish is a preference but not a requirement, particularly given the family's time in Miami
