Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., with flexibility for the right fit. Occasional evening and weekend support is required for date nights, events, or additional family support.

A warm and active family in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts is seeking a kind, active, and dependable Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two school-aged daughters. Their 11-year-old daughter is very active and enjoys dance, soccer, and spending time outside. Their 7-year-old daughter is sweet and calm and loves cooking and baking. She also enjoys playing tennis. Both girls are very academic, attend Hebrew school on the weekends, and participate in a variety of activities throughout the week.
The girls’ school uses Singapore Math, and the family would love a Nanny/Family Assistant who is comfortable supporting their academic needs and flexible in their approach to learning. Mom is a stay-at-home mom who also works on projects outside of the home, while Dad works outside of the home approximately 80% of the time. The family values kindness, positivity, open communication, and a collaborative approach and is looking for someone who will become a trusted and long-term member of their household.
The family has one very friendly Goldendoodle and no household dietary restrictions or allergies.
About the Role
The Nanny/Family Assistant will provide afternoon and evening care for both girls, picking them up from school at 2:45 p.m. and helping them transition into their afternoon activities, homework, and routines. The ideal candidate will enjoy keeping the girls active and engaged while supporting their busy schedules and helping them stay organized with schoolwork and extracurricular activities.
The 11-year-old has dance on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30–7:00 p.m., tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and dance on Fridays from 6:45–7:45 p.m. The 7-year-old has dance on Thursdays from 4:00–5:00 p.m. Both girls participate in soccer, piano, tennis, and Hebrew school on the weekends.
In addition to childcare, the Nanny/Family Assistant will provide light household support, including kitchen tidying, children’s laundry, seasonal clothing inventory, light home tidying and organization, taking out the garbage, and pet care such as walking and feeding the family’s Goldendoodle. The family is looking for someone who is proactive and takes initiative in helping the household run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will be kind, empathetic, positive, bubbly, optimistic, and have a growth mindset. They should love being active, enjoy engaging with school-aged children, and be comfortable with collaborative problem-solving. A strong team-player mentality is important, as the family is looking for someone who will work collaboratively with the parents and become a trusted extension of the family.
Requirements:
Prior professional childcare or nanny experience
Experience caring for school-aged children
Strong understanding of age-appropriate academic and developmental needs
Comfort supporting children with homework and academic activities
Flexibility in learning and teaching approaches, including familiarity with Singapore Math
Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability
Own reliable vehicle for on-the-job driving
Kind, empathetic, positive, and energetic caregiving style
Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
Proactive and self-motivated approach
Comfortable supporting children’s extracurricular activities and busy schedules
Comfortable with light pet care
Willingness to provide occasional evening and weekend support
Excellent references from previous families
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
