A warm, vibrant family on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced and proactive afternoon nanny/family assistant to help care for their three active and loving children. This role is ideal for a motivated and organized caregiver who thrives in a dynamic household and enjoys supporting a busy family with school-aged children and a toddler.

Hours: 25–30 hours/week guaranteed
Compensation: $35–$45/hour, based on experience
Benefits: 2 weeks of paid vacation (nanny chooses 1 week), 5 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, open to a healthcare stipend
Live-Out: Live-out position

Household Dynamic:

The family’s three children are active, kind, and curious. Their oldest daughter is entering 3rd grade—she’s sweet, motivated, a strong reader, and enjoys extracurriculars. Their middle son is playful, energetic, and sports-loving, heading into kindergarten. Their youngest daughter is easygoing and communicative, just starting a morning school program 3 days a week.

The family has a morning nanny who handles school drop-offs. Afternoons will focus on school pickups, activities, and home routines. The role includes support with general home organization, scheduling, and light household management. Travel (both domestic and international) is occasionally appreciated but not required.

Both parents are involved and communicative. Mom is home full-time and Dad works outside the home. No pets in the home.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a smart, dependable, and confident professional with a proactive attitude and high level of organization. Someone who can think a step ahead, take initiative with tasks like playdate planning and school paperwork, and create a calm and structured environment will thrive in this home. A candidate who is health-conscious and attentive to food labels is important to the family.

A valid driver’s license is required. No personal vehicle is needed, and a car is provided for use on the job.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Picking up children from school and transporting to activities

  • Supporting afternoon routines and transitions

  • Assisting with clothing organization and inventory

  • Managing household scheduling (playdates, school forms, activity calendars)

  • Preparing snacks and light meals, being mindful of family health guidelines

  • Handling dishes, general tidying, and light home organization

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare or nanny experience

  • Strong understanding of ages 2–8 and developmental needs

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with basic household management

  • Driver’s license required; must be comfortable driving in the city

  • Legal work authorization in the U.S.

  • Emotionally intelligent, energetic, and dependable

  • Organized, health-conscious, and a self-starter
