About the Family

A kind and welcoming family in Naperville is seeking an experienced, career nanny to join them in a long-term role caring for their three young children. They value warmth, reliability, and partnership, and are hoping to find someone who will grow with their family for years to come.

The family’s oldest attends preschool part-time Monday–Thursday mornings. Their middle child is an energetic and social little boy who is immunocompromised, so a nanny who is conscientious and health-minded is essential. Their youngest is a sweet, easygoing baby girl who is formula-fed. Both younger children are home full-time.

Mom works primarily from home, and Dad also works from home when not traveling or golfing. The household also includes two small, older dogs who need only minimal care (feeding twice daily).

The Ideal Nanny

This role is best suited for a professional, career nanny who brings both joy and structure to the home. The family is looking for a true partner—someone confident in their childcare approach, emotionally intelligent, and communicative, who can collaborate seamlessly with parents to support the children’s growth and routines.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • strong track record of long-term nanny positions (2+ years per family preferred)

  • A minimum of 5 years of full-time professional experience with infants and toddlers

  • A deep understanding of child development and an ability to foster independence, curiosity, and kindness

  • A calm yet energetic demeanor—someone who is playful and engaging, but also organized, proactive, and dependable

  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism

This family truly values finding someone who will become part of their family, offering stability and consistency in their children’s lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally focused care for three children

  • Create enriching, age-appropriate activities and foster a love of learning and play

  • Support healthy routines, meals, and transitions throughout the day

  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children, accommodating food allergies (lactose intolerance, egg allergy)

  • Keep children’s areas and the kitchen tidy and organized

  • Light household organization and feeding the dogs twice daily

  • No laundry or travel required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time nanny experience (infant and toddler focus)

  • Demonstrated history of long-term employment with families

  • Up to date on vaccinations (including COVID and flu)

  • Familiarity with food allergies and dietary restrictions

  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Comfortable with small dogs

  • Emotionally mature, dependable, and proactive

  • Health-conscious and respectful of an immunocompromised household

If you’re a dedicated, professional nanny who loves being part of a family team and is looking for a long-term home where your experience will be deeply valued, we’d love to hear from you.
