About the Family
A warm, collaborative family based in Arlington is seeking an engaging, energetic, and nurturing nanny to support their growing household. They have three young children (ages 5, 4, and 2), with a newborn expected in June. The children are described as strong-willed yet laidback—loving, emotionally gentle, and happy-go-lucky. The family values a positive, team-oriented environment and is looking for a nanny who brings a bubbly, playful energy into the home. Both parents are hands-on and collaborative, and they are seeking someone who is comfortable working alongside them while also taking initiative and confidently managing responsibilities independently. The family will have night nurses supporting the newborn for approximately the first four months and may also have additional daytime support. This family works in the current administration and is seeking a candidate whose personal values and approach to caregiving closely align with their own, with the goal of fostering a consistent and values-driven environment within the home.

About the Role
This is a dynamic weekend role ideal for a nanny who is highly engaging, proactive, and thrives in an active household. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with children and brings a positive, upbeat presence to their caregiving style. A strong preference will be given to candidates with a background in education or early childhood development, and those who can support learning and developmental milestones through play and structured activities. Responsibilities include planning and leading age-appropriate activities, taking the children on outings, and fostering a fun, structured environment. Additional duties include light tidying, assisting with dishes, opening packages, organizing household projects, grocery shopping, and light meal preparation. The role also includes occasional overnights and several domestic travel trips per year. A car and credit card will be provided for all child-related responsibilities.

Requirements:

Prior professional childcare experience (experience with multiple children required)
Background in education or early childhood development strongly preferred
Experience with infants through early school-age children

4 year College Degree
Energetic, engaging, and confident managing multiple children at once
Valid driver’s license (family vehicle provided for on-the-job use)
Reliable personal transportation to and from work
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Excellent references from previous families
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Willingness to commit long-term

Pets: No pets in the home

Transportation: Family vehicle provided for work use; must have reliable transportation to and from work
