About the Family

A thoughtful and family-oriented household in Ashburn is seeking a warm, engaging, and professional nanny to care for their two young children. Their 3-year-old is bright, curious, and advanced in language development, with a love for enrichment classes and community outings. Beginning in late August, they will attend school multiple days per week. Their 9-month-old is in an important stage of early infancy, and the family is looking for a nanny who is knowledgeable, attentive, and confident supporting feeding, nap routines, and developmental milestones.

The family values collaboration, clear communication, and professionalism within this shared caregiving environment. They also have a small, hypoallergenic dog, so comfort around pets is important.

About the Role

This role blends attentive childcare with thoughtful, child-focused household support. Responsibilities include providing nurturing care for both children, managing feeding and nap schedules for the infant, and engaging the 3-year-old in enriching, age-appropriate activities such as reading, music, and outdoor play. The nanny will support developmental milestones, encourage independence and life skills, and help maintain a structured, screen-free environment.

Additional responsibilities include preparing healthy meals and snacks, assisting with school drop-offs and pickups, and completing child-related household tasks such as children’s laundry, bottle care, light tidying, and organization. The nanny may also occasionally assist with light meal prep for the family and minimal pet care as needed. Occasional evenings, weekends, and domestic or international travel (1–2 times per year) may be requested with advance notice.

Requirements:

Prior professional nanny experience, including infant care
4 year Bachelor's Degree
Strong understanding of infant and early childhood development
Experience caring for multiple young children
Supportive of a screen-free household
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
Excellent references from previous families
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Pets: One small, hypoallergenic dog (minimal care required)

Transportation: Must have own vehicle, parking is available.

Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel.
