A warm, thoughtful, and globally minded family in San Ramon, CA is seeking a trustworthy, engaged, and professional full-time nanny to support their 4-year-old son. Mom works from home and travels frequently, so the family is looking for a nanny who is confident working independently, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership of the afternoon and evening routine.
The child is bright, curious, and engaged, and attends a Russian immersion school, with school pickup at 3:30pm. He thrives with structure, hands-on learning, and caregivers who are genuinely interested in his ideas, interests, and activities. The family values a calm, easygoing presence paired with intentional, educational engagement.
Afternoons will include school pickup, activities, and structured learning at home. Activities include Taekwondo, swimming, and piano lessons. The family is especially excited to welcome a nanny who enjoys supporting learning through a Montessori-style approach, rotating activities, and following lesson plans in a way that feels fun, natural, and engaging rather than rigid.
The family travels frequently—both domestically and internationally—approximately once per month, including a longer trip in June. They are seeking a nanny who is open to travel and passport-ready. Occasional weekend hours may also be requested.

Responsibilities
Childcare & Educational Support:
Provide attentive, nurturing care for one child
Pick up from school and manage afternoon routines
Support Montessori-style, structured learning using provided lesson plans
Rotate educational activities in a fun, engaging way
Drive to and from activities as needed
Engage the child in age-appropriate play, enrichment, and learning
Support a low-screen or no-screen environment
Household Support (Child-Focused Priority):
Light tidying related to the child
Meal preparation and snack support within the family’s vegetarian lifestyle
Childcare is always the top priority, with household tasks handled as time allows.
Transportation:
Nanny must have a reliable personal vehicle to commute to and from work and for on-the-job driving
Parking is available
