About the Family
A warm, welcoming family in Baltimore’s Poplar Hill neighborhood is seeking a proactive, engaging full-time nanny to support their two young children, ages 4 and 2. The 4-year-old enjoys soccer, music, and gymnastics and currently attends half-day preschool. The 2-year-old is spirited, affectionate, and thrives with a patient, playful caregiver. Mom works a hybrid schedule, and Dad travels frequently, so the family is looking for a nanny who can work independently while maintaining clear communication. The family has a small, well-trained 14 lb Cavapoo. Comfort around dogs is important, and occasional dog sitting when the family travels would be appreciated. There are no dietary restrictions or allergies in the home.
About the Role
This position is a blend of attentive childcare and household support. Responsibilities include engaging the children in age-appropriate activities, supporting routines, preparing meals and snacks, and encouraging creativity, outdoor play, and developmental engagement. Household responsibilities are child-focused and include meal clean-up, laundry, tidying play spaces, assisting with groceries, and organizing household essentials. Childcare is always the primary focus, with household tasks completed as time allows.
Requirements
Prior professional nanny experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children
4-year Bachelor’s Degree
Comfortable traveling with the family
Organized, dependable, and proactive
Excellent communication skills and professionalism
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
Excellent references from previous families
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Comfort around a small dog
Pets: One small dog (Cavapoo)
Transportation: Must have own vehicle, parking is available
Travel: Domestic travel required; family homes in Florida, New Orleans, and a New Jersey beach house. Nanny may join for part or all of summer at beach house with accommodations and vehicle provided.
