Proactive Full-Time Nanny/Household Manager Needed in Boston, MA (Back Bay)

Start: Late January or early February (some overlap with current nanny/house manager for training)

About the Family:

A warm and dynamic family in Back Bay, Boston is seeking a thoughtful, organized, and proactive Full-Time Nanny/Household Manager to support their two school-aged children, ages 15 (girl) and 12 (boy).

Their daughter is mature, independent, and focused on school and rowing. She is kind, caring, and self-sufficient, with a calm and grounded personality. Their son is sweet and intelligent. He can be slower to warm up but forms strong bonds once comfortable. He thrives with structure, patience, and a consistent routine and enjoys robotics, skiing, and one-on-one engagement. Family is looking for a nanny who can help children with school work.

The family values reliability, warmth, and initiative, and is seeking a professional who can manage both after-school care and household organization with ease. The household also includes three Labradoodles, who need afternoon walks and occasional grooming appointments. The parents primarily work outside the home, with occasional work-from-home days.

Responsibilities:

  • School pickups, driving to and from extracurricular activities, lessons, and appointments

  • After-school care and engagement with the children

  • Kitchen tidying and general household organization

  • Laundry for the children and parents

  • Meal prep for the children and simple family-style meals as needed

  • Errands, grocery shopping, and meal planning

  • Household inventory management and seasonal clothing organization

  • Coordinating with vendors or contractors as needed

  • Pet care for three Labradoodles (walks, grooming appointments, and feeding as needed)

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with school-aged children

  • Strong driving record; familiarity with Boston preferred

  • Confident with household management responsibilities

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 12:30pm–7:30pm (40 hours guaranteed)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $30–$40/hour, depending on experience

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week

  • Paid vacation days, sick days, and major holidays

  • Annual discretionary bonus and annual raise

  • Long-term incentive bonus (minimum 2-year commitment)

  • Family can provide a car for the right candidate, though preference is for someone with their own (parking provided)
