About the Family:
A warm family in Bethesda is seeking a calm, experienced, and nurturing full-time nanny to care for their two daughters. Their 10-year-old is bright, independent, and an avid reader, needing occasional support for executive functioning. Their 4-year-old is joyful, creative, and thrives in arts, dance, and imaginative play.
The children spend most of their time one-on-one with a nanny, and the family values curiosity, learning, and social/emotional development. Fluency in Spanish or Italian is a hard requirement, as the children are bilingual.
The household also includes a Bernadoodle (~6 months, hypoallergenic), with a dog walker and trainer in place. Both parents work from home in separate offices, and the family is seeking a nanny who can independently manage the daily rhythm of the home with warmth, structure, and initiative. Occasional domestic or international travel may occur (1–2 trips per year), but it is not required. The 10 year old has a tree nut allergy, so a nanny must be comfortable with an EpiPen.
Ideal Candidate:
Calm, mature, emotionally attuned, and highly reliable
Collaborative, proactive, and creative with activities in-home and out-of-home
Experienced supporting children with ADHD and allergy management (EpiPen experience required)
Career-minded, low-drama, and open to feedback
Fluent in Spanish or Italian (hard requirement)
Clean driving record; family has a car available
Comfortable with light household duties and meal prep (preference given to candidates who can also meal prep for the family)

Full-time care for children
School drop-off and pick-up
After-school care and enrichment activities
Meal prep for children; optional cooking for parents
Children’s laundry and seasonal clothing organization

Occasional evening/weekend babysitting if desired

Organized, communicative, and calm under pressure
Compensation & Benefits:
$73K-$130K annually( $35–$45/hour) depending on experience and guaranteed hours
40–50 guaranteed hours per week based on nannies preference
Paid major federal holidays, sick days, and vacation days
