Highly Organized and Engaging Nanny/House Manager Needed in Andersonville, IL.

Children: Two – 6-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl
Compensation: $30–$38/hour
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Family can guarantee 40 hrs/wk.
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses one), 5 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, and open to offering a healthcare stipend
Live‑Out: This is a live‑out position
Household Dynamic:
Both children are fully potty-trained and attend school full-time. The youngest attends school from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM, and the oldest stays until 5:00 PM. The family does not allow screen time during the week and values creativity and interactive play. There are no pets in the home, and a car is not required for the position—a family car is available for nanny use. Parking is available if needed.
The family would love to find someone open to occasional travel (1–3 trips per year), including upcoming vacations to Florida and Italy. Travel is not required but is a plus.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal nanny is warm, confident, and highly organized, with excellent communication skills and the ability to take initiative. A strong team player who enjoys helping a household run smoothly while building meaningful relationships with children will thrive in this position. Creativity, problem-solving skills, and a playful approach are all highly valued.
Bonus Skills:
Fluency in Spanish and/or Italian (not required, but a plus)
Experience with household management
Flexible and open to occasional travel
Primary Responsibilities:
Childcare (50%):
Provide loving, attentive after-school care
Engage children in creative, screen-free activities
Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development
Manage school pick-ups as needed
Household Management (50%):
Family laundry and general tidying
Basic home organization and upkeep
Grocery shopping and household inventory management
Meal preparation (intermediate cooking skills preferred)
Running errands, including dry cleaning and other needs
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional nanny or nanny/household manager experience
Current on all vaccinations (or willing to update)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Intermediate cooking skills
Legal work authorization in the U.S.
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
