About the Family
A warm and welcoming family in Georgetown is seeking a nurturing, calm, and highly dependable nanny to support their infant son as they transition back to work. Their 2-month-old baby is sweet, alert, and beginning to settle into a routine, enjoying interaction and early engagement. The family values a peaceful, supportive home environment and is looking for a nanny with a soft, warm presence who will seamlessly integrate into their daily rhythm. Mom works in-office, and Dad has a hybrid schedule outside of the home. The family also has two large, friendly dogs, with a dog walker in place.
About the Role
This role centers around attentive, developmentally focused infant care while supporting the overall flow of the household. The nanny will be responsible for maintaining feeding schedules (combination of breastmilk and formula transitioning to more consistent bottle feeding), bottle preparation and sanitation, and creating a nurturing, engaging environment through reading, walks, and outings such as local libraries, playgroups, and the family’s nearby country club.
In addition to full child-related care, the nanny will assist with light household support, including tidying, errands, grocery shopping, meal prep (for the child and ideally the parents), managing laundry (child and adult), changing bed linens, and pet support such as letting the dogs in and out and assisting with feeding. The nanny should be comfortable working in a home with two large, energetic, and friendly dogs.
The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and highly reliable, with strong infant care instincts. The family is open to candidates with or without formal nanny experience, but a demonstrated comfort and confidence with newborns is essential. This role may include optional domestic and international travel throughout the year, including summer events, holiday travel, and family vacations.
Requirements:
Infant care experience (professional or equivalent hands-on experience)
Strong understanding of newborn and early developmental milestones
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for work-related use
Comfortable with large dogs
Excellent references
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Pets: Two large, friendly dogs (care includes letting in/out and feeding support)
Transportation: Nanny must have a personal vehicle; street and driveway parking available
Travel: Optional domestic and international travel throughout the year (preferred but not required)
