About the Family
A warm and organized family in Chicago is seeking a proactive nanny/household manager to support their two school-aged children. Their 7-year-old (2nd grade) enjoys reading, writing, and art, while their 5-year-old (kindergarten) is energetic and loves sports and imaginative play. Both children are curious, independent, and enjoy a balance of time at home and outings. The children attend school from 7:45am–2:45pm and have after-school activities three days per week. Both parents work a hybrid schedule, either outside the home or from separate home offices. The family values organization, initiative, and a calm, well-run household.
About the Role
This role is a blend of childcare and household management, with a focus on afternoon support. Responsibilities include school pickups, transporting the children to activities, engaging them in age-appropriate play, and preparing meals and snacks. Child-focused household duties include children’s laundry, kitchen tidying, light home organization, meal planning and prep, grocery shopping, and errands. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, patient, and engaging, with the ability to work independently and stay one step ahead.
