About the Family

A warm and welcoming family in Duxbury is seeking a compassionate and dependable nanny/household manager to support their 4-year-old son. He is initially slow to warm up but becomes outgoing once comfortable, with a thoughtful and intellectual personality. He enjoys trains, crafts, and math-based games. He attends school from 8:30am–2:50pm.

The mother works a hybrid schedule between her studio in Duxbury and a separate home office. The family values kindness, reliability, and a calm, engaging presence in the home. They also have four small hypoallergenic dogs and are looking for someone who is comfortable and at ease around pets.

About the Role
This position blends childcare with light household support, with a focus on afternoon and early evening care. Responsibilities include school pickup, engaging the child in age-appropriate play and activities, and supporting his development through creative and educational engagement.

Child-related household duties include preparing meals and snacks, kitchen tidying, and maintaining organization of the child’s belongings. Additional responsibilities include light home tidying, grocery shopping, meal planning, and running household errands. Light pet care is also part of the role, including feeding the dogs, letting them out into the yard, and occasional vet visits (no walking required).

The ideal candidate is warm, patient, and engaging, with a proactive and organized approach. They should be trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable balancing childcare with household support.
