About the Family
A warm and welcoming family on the Upper West Side of New York City is seeking an experienced nanny/house manager to support their two children and help maintain a well-run household. Their 13-year-old son is self-motivated, industrious, high-achieving, sweet, and kind. He loves spending time with friends and his younger sister, enjoys musical theatre, and is largely self-sufficient with managing his schoolwork and activities. Their 9-year-old daughter is full of energy, loves school, and is described as easy-going, happy-go-lucky, sensitive, and perceptive. She has had a wonderful year at school and is excited to continue learning and growing. The children attend school Monday–Friday, with their son returning home independently around 4:00pm and their daughter arriving home on the school bus around 3:45pm. Their daughter also participates in occupational therapy once per week and choir once per week. Dad works from an office and travels frequently, while Mom’s work schedule is more variable and is typically based from home. The family values kindness, consistency, teamwork, and maintaining a calm and joyful home environment.
