About the Family

A warm, engaged family based in Beacon Hill is seeking a professional, proactive, and nurturing nanny to care for their two young children. Their 4.5-year-old son and 2.25-year-old daughter are both enrolled in the same local nursery program (within a 10-minute walk from home), with the  preschooler attending from 8:15am–3:00pm presently and the toddler attending from 8:15am–12:00pm starting in September. The family values a structured environment with limited screen time that fosters curiosity, creativity, and strong developmental growth. Both parents work outside the home in nearby Cambridge. During the summer, the family spends 8–10 weeks in Marblehead, MA.

About the Role
This role is ideal for a professional nanny who is warm, energetic, highly organized, and passionate about early childhood development. The nanny will take a thoughtful, educational approach to the day—planning and engaging the children in age-appropriate developmental activities, structuring routines, and fostering intellectual curiosity through play and exploration. The ideal candidate is city-savvy, comfortable navigating Boston, and experienced caring for young children. Responsibilities include school drop-off and pick-up (walking), children’s meal preparation, children’s laundry, light tidying and organization related to the children, and occasional light grocery shopping for the children (nearby and within walking distance). The nanny should be self-directed, proactive, and collaborative, with a positive attitude and a genuine love of working with young children.

Excellent references from previous families
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Willingness to commit to at least 1 year

Valid Driver’s License

Transportation: No driving required; safe, clean, garage parking provided two blocks from the home
