About the Family
A warm and collaborative family in Naperville is seeking a professional, engaging nanny/household manager to support their three active children and busy household. Their 7-year-old is in 1st grade, highly involved in sports and dance, and has a wonderfully silly and sensitive personality. Their 5-year-old is a ball of energy—adaptable, highly independent, and excited to begin kindergarten in the fall, with growing involvement in sports. Their 2-year-old is very active, loves being outdoors, and is right on the cusp of toddlerhood.
All three children attend school or daycare. The children have after-school activities throughout the week and the nanny will work collaboratively with Mom to manage that schedule. Dad travels frequently for work and works from a separate home office 2 days/week. The family values teamwork, communication, and a positive, supportive home environment.
About the Role
This position is a dynamic blend of childcare and household support, with a strong focus on the afternoon and evening routine. Responsibilities include coordinating school pickups and school bus arrivals, managing after-school activities and transportation, engaging the children in active and age-appropriate play, and preparing healthy meals and snacks.
Child-focused household responsibilities include children’s laundry, kitchen tidying, light home organization, meal planning and preparation for the children, grocery shopping, and running household errands. The ideal candidate is confident working independently once onboarded, while also collaborating closely with parents to ensure consistency and alignment in caregiving. A balance of fun, playful energy and the ability to set clear, consistent boundaries is essential.
