About the Family
A warm, collaborative family based in Arlington is seeking an engaging, energetic, and nurturing nanny to care for their growing family. They have three young children (ages 5, 4, and 2), with a newborn expected in June. The children are described as strong-willed yet easygoing—loving, emotionally intuitive, and happy-go-lucky. The family fosters a supportive, team-oriented environment and values positivity, consistency, and a playful approach to caregiving. Both parents are hands-on and collaborative, and they are looking for a nanny who will seamlessly integrate into their parenting style while bringing confidence and initiative to the role. This family works in the current administration and is seeking a candidate whose personal values and approach to caregiving closely align with their own, with the goal of fostering a consistent and values-driven environment within the home.

About the Role
This is a dynamic, high-energy role ideal for a nanny who thrives in an active household and genuinely enjoys engaging with children throughout the day. The ideal candidate brings a bubbly, positive presence and has a passion for early childhood development, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in teaching or education. Responsibilities include planning and leading age-appropriate activities, supporting developmental milestones, organizing outings, and creating a structured yet fun daily rhythm. Additional duties include light tidying, assisting with dishes, opening packages, organizing household projects, grocery shopping, and light meal preparation. The role also includes occasional overnights and several domestic travel trips per year. A car and credit card will be provided for all child-related responsibilities. Night nurses will support the newborn for approximately the first four months, with potential for additional daytime support.

Requirements:

Prior professional childcare experience (experience with multiple children required)
Background in education or early childhood development strongly preferred
Experience with infants through early school-age children

4 year College Degree
Energetic, engaging, and confident managing multiple children at once
Valid driver’s license (family vehicle provided for on-the-job use)
Reliable personal transportation to and from work
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Excellent references from previous families
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Willingness to commit long-term

Pets: No pets in the home

Transportation: Family vehicle provided for work use; must have reliable transportation to and from work

Travel: No travel.
