About the Family

A warm and welcoming family in Boston is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and developmentally focused nanny to care for their two young sons. Their 10-month-old son is easygoing, happy, content, and is eating and sleeping well. He enjoys interaction, exploration, and engaging with the world around him through age-appropriate play.

His older brother is a vibrant, expressive, independent, and highly verbal 3-year-old who attends school during part of the day. He is curious, energetic, and enjoys learning and active engagement. The nanny will spend the majority of the day with the infant before picking up the older child from school and supporting both children through the afternoon and evening routine.

Dad works from an office outside the home, while Mom works a hybrid schedule between a home office and an outside office. The family values open communication, teamwork, and a strong partnership between parents and nanny. They are hoping to find someone who is confident, proactive, and capable of independently managing the children's routines while maintaining a collaborative relationship with both parents.

About the Role

This role is centered around providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for both children while creating a warm, structured, and engaging environment. The nanny will be responsible for managing the infant's daily schedule, including feedings, naps, developmental play, and enrichment opportunities. The nanny will also pick up the older child from school each day and support him through afternoon activities, meals, and routines.

The family is seeking a nanny who can balance warmth and affection with clear, consistent boundaries. They value a caregiver who is familiar with authoritative parenting philosophies and approaches childcare with patience, empathy, and confidence. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, communicative, and genuinely view the parent-nanny relationship as a partnership built on trust and shared goals.

In addition to childcare responsibilities, the nanny will assist with child-related household tasks to help keep the home running smoothly. Responsibilities include children's laundry, meal preparation for the children, maintaining seasonal clothing inventories for both children, and light household tidying related to the children's spaces and activities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-regulated, and highly responsible. The family would love to find someone who takes initiative, communicates proactively, prioritizes safety, and brings a calm, positive presence to the home. They are seeking a long-term nanny who is warm, loving, kind, and invested in becoming a valued member of their family's support system.
