About the Family
A warm, welcoming family on the Upper East Side is seeking an exceptional full-time nanny to join their established childcare team. This is a live-out position during the school year that transitions to a live-in role from June through Labor Day while the family resides between their homes in Connecticut and Southampton.
Their youngest son is a cheerful, outgoing five-year-old who loves learning, connecting with others, and spending time with his brothers. Their eight-year-old son is creative, active, and thrives when his days are predictable and well organized. He enjoys arts and crafts, active play, and hands-on learning experiences. He benefits from caregivers who anticipate his needs, create structure, and use positive reinforcement strategies such as reward charts and consistent expectations to help him be successful.Their oldest son, age twelve, is increasingly independent while still benefiting from the guidance and support of trusted caregivers.
Both parents work full-time, primarily from the office. They value open communication, teamwork, and consistency, and are seeking a nanny who will work collaboratively alongside their current nanny and care team to provide exceptional support for their children.
About the Role
The role centers around providing engaging, developmentally appropriate care while supporting the children's routines, activities, emotional well-being, and continued growth. The ideal candidate will be warm, encouraging, structured, and capable of adapting their approach to meet each child's unique personality and needs. They are hoping to find someone who can build strong relationships with all three boys while remaining steady, patient, and unflappable in a busy household.
In addition to childcare, the nanny will assist with child-related household responsibilities, including household errands, inventory management, organizing the children's seasonal clothing, scheduling support, occasional children's laundry, and maintaining organization throughout the children's spaces.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, growth-minded, and eager to become a long-term member of the family's support system. They value someone who is collaborative, willing to learn, communicates thoughtfully, remains composed under pressure, and embraces working as a true teammate within an established care team.
During the summer months, the nanny will live with the family in Connecticut and Southampton, with additional hours to support the family's seasonal schedule. The role also includes accompanying the family on a one-week trip to Florida each March.
