About the Family:
A warm, active family in Stratham is seeking an energetic, dependable, and collaborative nanny to care for their cheerful 5.5 -year-old son. He is athletic, outgoing, and loves spending time outside, especially swimming and engaging in active play. He has Level 1 Autism and thrives with caregivers who are patient, flexible, and able to build a trusting relationship while adapting to his individual needs.
This is a single-father household. Dad works full-time outside of the home and values reliability above all else, as he depends on consistent childcare to maintain his work schedule. The child's mother lives nearby, and the family has a positive, amicable co-parenting relationship centered around providing consistency and support.
The family is looking for someone who is energetic enough to keep up with an active little boy while also being organized, detail-oriented, and naturally tidy. Dad appreciates a clean, well-maintained home, while his son benefits from a caregiver who is easygoing, collaborative, and willing to go with the flow. The ideal candidate will be able to balance both and become a trusted long-term member of the family's support system.
About the Role:
The nanny will be responsible for morning school drop-offs, afternoon pick-ups, transportation to activities, and creating engaging afternoons filled with outdoor adventures, swimming, and active play. Responsibilities include preparing snacks, school lunches, and simple dinners for the child, completing the child's laundry, supporting consistent routines, and maintaining a clean, organized home throughout the day.
For candidates interested in increasing their guaranteed hours to 30 per week, the family is happy to add household management responsibilities such as grocery shopping, general household organization, light household tidying, and keeping shared living spaces clean and tidy. Occasional late nights may also be available but are not required.
Experience supporting children with autism or other neurodiverse needs is highly valued but is not required. The family is happy to coach the right candidate and is primarily looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, eager to learn, and excited to build a meaningful, long-term relationship. The family is ideally seeking a candidate who lives within 30 minutes driving distance to the family’s home.
