About the Family

A warm, thoughtful, and busy family in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston is seeking an experienced, engaging, and highly reliable nanny to support their two young boys. Both parents primarily work in the office, with occasional hybrid workdays. The family values strong communication, reliability, warmth, and a proactive approach. They are seeking a nanny who can confidently help maintain structure and routines while creating a nurturing, engaging, and organized environment for the children. There are no pets in the home, and the family has no plans to add any.

About the Role

This position is centered around afternoon childcare support for two active and engaging young boys. Each afternoon will begin with school pick up at 2:15pm by walking or using public transportation before returning home to begin the family’s afternoon and evening routine. The ideal candidate will enjoy creating engaging experiences, supporting daily routines and transitions, and providing a warm, structured, and dependable presence for the children.

The older child, age 4, is curious, bright, energetic, and incredibly perceptive. He is very sweet and thrives with clear expectations, consistent routines, and loving but firm boundaries. He enjoys reading, sports, and active engagement and benefits from a nanny who can provide both structure and encouragement throughout the day.

The younger child, 20 months, is happy, affectionate, energetic, and beginning to form his own opinions as he becomes more independent. He is walking, increasingly mobile, and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He is a great sleeper and enjoys community outings such as museums, parks, and playdates. He follows a consistent daily routine with one nap each day.

Responsibilities include planning engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, coordinating outings and community activities, supporting routines and transitions, preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children, and maintaining a warm and organized environment. Additional responsibilities include kitchen tidying, children’s laundry, light home tidying and organization, meal preparation for the children, seasonal clothing inventory for the children, and taking out the garbage. All household responsibilities are child-focused in nature.

The family would appreciate a nanny who is warm, experienced, reliable, and proactive with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will naturally take initiative, communicate clearly, and bring a calm and dependable presence to the home.
