About the Family

A warm and welcoming family in Needham, Massachusetts is seeking a highly reliable, punctual, nurturing, and experienced nanny to care for their two young children. Their inquisitive and engaging 4-year-old son is happy, curious, and loves to explore, while their 1.5-year-old daughter adores her big brother and enjoys discovering the world around her. Both parents work professionally—dad is in the office four days per week, and mom is in the office five days per week—so reliability, punctuality, and consistent communication are especially important to the family. They are looking for someone who is caring, patient, warm, loving yet appropriately firm, and confident working independently. The family has one small dog, though no pet care is required, and there are no household dietary restrictions or allergies.

About the Role

The nanny will provide attentive, developmentally focused care for the children, with a primary focus on their 1.5-year-old daughter while their son is at preschool Monday through Friday from 9:00am–1:30pm. Responsibilities include preschool drop-off and pick-up, facilitating naps, planning enriching activities and outings such as playground and library visits, and supporting the children’s afternoon routine through dinner. Additional duties include children’s laundry, light home tidying and organization, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.

The family places a particularly high value on reliability and punctuality. They need someone who can be counted on to arrive on time each day, maintain consistent attendance, communicate proactively, and take their commitment to the family seriously. The ideal nanny will be highly dependable, independent, organized, patient, warm, and communicative, with the confidence to manage the children’s daily routine while creating a loving and engaging environment. The family may occasionally request weekend or date-night support. Domestic travel is preferred, though no travel is currently planned.
