Loving, Organized, and Engaged Part-Time Nanny / Household Manager for Family in South End, Massachusetts

Compensation: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 1:00pm–7:00pm Hours: 18 guaranteed hours per week Option to build in later evenings or additional afternoons as needed Summer hours can flex up

About the Family:
A warm, down-to-earth, and busy family in the South End of Boston is seeking a loving and reliable part-time nanny/household manager to support their three children, ages 8, 6, and 2.5. Each child has a distinct personality, and the family deeply values meeting each child where they are developmentally and emotionally.
The oldest is an incredible big sister—low drama, high energy, and easygoing. She is active in soccer, lacrosse, and swimming. She thrives with engagement and enjoys having someone present rather than independently entertaining herself. The middle child is in kindergarten and learning to read. He enjoys piano, swimming, hip hop, and squash. The youngest is 2.5 years old—sweet, loving, and always on the move. He loves sports, My Gym, and museums.
Mom works five days per week in the office. Dad is a writer and works from home, occasionally popping in to say hello. The family has a 10-year-old Boston Terrier (dog walker in place; minimal involvement needed). One child is dairy-free; no other dietary restrictions. Family spends August in Nantucket (travel not required but strongly preferred for a few days)
This family is seeking a long-term hire who will become a steady, trusted presence in their home. Strong references are extremely important to them.

Responsibilities
Childcare & Developmental Support:
School and activity pickups and transportation (nanny must have own car; parking available)
Engaged after-school care and supervision
Supporting homework routines and tutoring follow-through
Facilitating smooth transitions between school, activities, and home
Preparing simple, balanced meals for the children
Household Management Support:
Children’s laundry
Light cleaning and organizing
Straightening children’s spaces and common areas
Grocery runs and errands
General household tidying related to the children
