A kind and mindful family in Washington Square Park, NYC is seeking a full-time, high nurturing nanny to help care
for their first baby, who is 3 months old. Their home has a peaceful, respectful vibe with clear communication and a
gentle, team-oriented approach. This role is live-out during the year, and live-in during the summer months at the
family’s second home in the Hamptons. Occasional domestic travel will also be required.
The ideal candidate is deeply experienced with newborns, developmentally knowledgeable, and brings a calm,
steady presence into the home. The family values a nanny who is collaborative with hands-on parents, emotionally
intelligent, and able to balance taking initiative with stepping back when needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the baby
● Respects and follows parents' chosen routines, values, and approach to parenting
● Partner with parents to create a calm, consistent environment for the baby
● Provide gentle, attentive care by bathing the baby, preparing and feeding bottles or solids, carefully handling
and storing breastmilk, keeping pump and bottle parts clean and sanitized and engaging the baby in loving,
age-appropriate play and interaction.
● Upkeep the nursery: laundry, manage inventory and create a list for mom once a week to order, vacuum and
sterilize toys
● Able to log baby daily activities in Huckleberry app
● Light household support including cooking for baby, baby laundry, kitchen tidying, occasional light cooking
for mom and general organization
● Occasional errands, meal prep for mom, and household stocking
● Pet care as needed (walk, feed, take to groomer)
● Travel with the family to their Hamptons home during the summer (live-in) and on occasional domestic trips
Qualifications:
● Recent newborn and infant experience
● Patient, nurturing, and emotionally intelligent personality with calm, steady energy
● Collaborative, respectful, and able to take direction
● Comfortable working in a team-oriented household with hands-on parents
● Up-to-date on vaccinations or willing to become current
● CPR certified
● Valid U.S. work authorization required
● Must be comfortable with pets
