About the Family:
A thoughtful, intentional, and highly engaged family in Chicago, IL is seeking a professional, proactive, and developmentally-minded nanny to support their two young children in a temporary role lasting most likely through early Fall. The family places a strong emphasis on secure attachment, gentle caregiving, clear communication, and treating nannying as a respected profession.
Mom is currently a stay-at-home parent and will be involved and collaborative, particularly during the infant stage. Dad works primarily outside of the home with a hybrid schedule on Fridays. The family values teamwork, transparency, and mutual respect and is seeking a nanny who truly partners with them day-to-day.
The baby is currently breastfed with bottled milk provided by mom (breastfeeding will likely conclude in the coming months). He has mild reflux and benefits from a caregiver who is patient, attentive, and experienced with infant feeding, burping, tummy time, and gentle sleep support. The family prioritizes responsive care and secure attachment over rigid sleep training.
The toddler attends daycare full-time (9:00am–4:00pm) but will occasionally be home due to illness or closures. When home, the family hopes the nanny will provide enriching, hands-on experiences such as baking, museum outings, art projects, reading, and imaginative play. Both children have a dairy sensitivity.
Travel is an important part of this role. The family anticipates 2–3 trips during the contract, including domestic travel and a possible international trip. A valid U.S. passport is required.
