A warm and active family in Scarsdale, NY is seeking an experienced, responsible, and loving nanny to care for their upbeat and energetic 7-year-old daughter. This role is ideal for a patient yet confident caregiver who can set clear boundaries while fostering a supportive, encouraging environment. The position offers guaranteed hours, occasional travel opportunities, and the chance to be part of a collaborative household.

Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM (guaranteed 30 hours/week). Flexibility required for rare full-day coverage (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM) when school is out or the family is traveling. Occasional evening/weekend babysitting requested.
Compensation: $40/hour
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (one week chosen by nanny), 5 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, annual bonus, open to healthcare stipend

Household Dynamic:
The family’s daughter is positive, loving, and full of energy. She enjoys piano, violin, tennis, dance, and swimming. She has an opinionated spirit and is developing her growth mindset, sometimes needing extra patience when frustrated with schoolwork. The home has fish (minimal care required) and is a pork-free, lactose-free household. Mom and Dad both work in and out of the home, and sometimes travel for work.
Ideal Candidate:
The family is looking for a safety-minded, dependable, and emotionally intelligent nanny who is honest, conscientious, loving, and open to feedback. A caregiver who can maintain consistent boundaries, limit phone use around the child, and encourage independence will be a great fit. Bonus points for nannies who speak Spanish or French, have tutoring or teaching experience, or love arts and crafts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing attentive, loving care for the child after school and during occasional full days
Supporting learning, creative projects, and active play
Preparing meals for the child, mindful of dietary needs
Organizing and tidying the child’s bedroom and playroom
Light kitchen tidying and general household organization
Occasional errands
Minimal fish care (occasional feeding)
Qualifications:
Experience caring for school-aged children
Organized, responsible, and proactive
Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset
Driver’s license preferred
Legal work authorization in the U.S.
Passport preferred for possible future travel (no trips currently planned)
