Professional Weekend Housekeeper Needed in Newton, MA

Children: 5,500+ sq ft home, 3 children: ages 14, 9, and 6. (14 year old is at boarding school)

Schedule: Friday: 3:30pm–8:00pm Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am–4:30pm Occasional overnights or date nights as needed (Flexibility is important.)
Description:
A busy family in Newton is seeking a professional and reliable housekeeper/nanny to support their household and assist with their children on weekends. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with strong housekeeping experience who also enjoys engaging with children in a warm, supportive way. The family values organization, attention to detail, and consistency, along with patience, flexibility, and kindness.
Schedule:
Friday: 3:30pm–8:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am–4:30pm
Occasional overnights or date nights as needed
(Flexibility is important.)
Compensation: $40 per hour
Live-Out: Live-out position with flexibility for overnights
Primary Responsibilities:
Housekeeping:
Whole house cleaning and maintenance (5,500+ sq ft home)
Laundry (washing, folding, ironing as needed)
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Changing bed linens and making beds
Cleaning appliances and keeping kitchen tidy
General organization and upkeep of the home
Light tidying and household organization
Childcare:
Supervising and engaging with children, ages 14, 9, and 6. (14 year old is at boarding school)
Arts & crafts and age-appropriate activities
Meal prep for the children
Supporting children’s routines and schedules
Patience and understanding for children with ADHD and autism
Pet Care:
Feeding and walking three dogs (including two large Bernedoodles)
Occasional vet visits
Comfortable around one household cat

Energetic and comfortable engaging with children
Flexible and open to occasional overnights or travel
Comfortable in a perfume-free home and mindful of food sensitivities (no red dye)
Experience with neurodivergent children (ADHD/autism) is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
Prior professional housekeeping and childcare experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent references from previous families
Comfortable working in a home with multiple pets
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Own car required (mileage reimbursed)
