Description:
A loving and active family in Newton is seeking a professional and experienced weekend nanny to support their three children. This role is ideal for a patient, energetic, and affectionate caregiver who understands neurodiverse children and enjoys creating an engaging, structured, and supportive environment. The position begins as soon as the right match is found and offers consistent weekend hours, with opportunities for travel.
Benefits: 2 paid sick days, 4 paid vacation days, major federal holidays paid, annual discretionary bonus, annual raise, long-term incentive bonus (minimum 2 years), mileage and gas reimbursement
Live-Out: Live-out position
Household Dynamic:
The children are bright, social, and active, with a love of play and creative activities. Two of the children have additional medical and toileting needs, so the family is looking for someone who is both attentive and adaptable. The home is perfume-sensitive, and strong scents (including laundry detergents) should be avoided. While there are no food allergies, the family avoids red dye. Pets are part of the household, so comfort with animals is important. The family occasionally travels and hopes to find a nanny open to domestic and possible international travel.
Ideal Candidate:
The family is looking for a warm, flexible, and proactive nanny who brings patience, kindness, and structure to the weekends. Someone with prior early childhood education or ABA/autism experience is strongly preferred. A nanny who enjoys being active, creative, and engaging will be a wonderful fit. Reliability, adaptability, and strong communication are essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing attentive, patient, and loving care for the children
Supporting social, emotional, and developmental growth in a structured way
Engaging the children in fun, creative, and active play
Meal prep for the children, following family preferences
Light home tidying and organization, including taking out garbage
Caring for pets as needed
Remaining flexible for family travel, both domestic and potential international
Qualifications:
3+ years of childcare experience, ideally with children who have ADHD/autism
Background in ECE, ABA, or related field preferred
Comfortable with pets and basic pet care
Driver’s license and reliable car (mileage reimbursed)
Legal work authorization in the U.S.
Patient, energetic, affectionate, and flexible personality
Must avoid perfume and strong scents due to household sensitivities
If you are a compassionate, engaging, and dedicated nanny who loves working with neurodiverse children in a warm and active household, the family would love to meet you!
