A busy, high-profile family based in Chevy Chase is seeking an experienced Housekeeper with a strong hospitality background to support their home and daily operations. The family has three young children (ages 3, 6, and a newborn) and values discretion, precision, and a high level of care in all aspects of their household.

They are highly detail-oriented and maintain an exceptionally organized home, with systems already in place that they are looking for a candidate to uphold and enhance. The family frequently hosts, particularly on weekends, and is seeking someone who can anticipate needs and ensure the home is always guest-ready.

The family also spends extended time in the Hamptons throughout the year, and is looking for someone who is flexible and excited to travel as part of the role.

About the Role:

The role will focus on full household upkeep, organization, and supporting the overall flow of the home. While this is not a childcare position, comfort being around children and providing occasional support as needed is important.

  • Managing packages (bringing in, opening, organizing, and putting items away)

  • Tracking home maintenance needs and creating organized to-do lists

  • Assisting with basic technology updates and flagging items that need repair

  • Kitchen reset and cleanup after meals

  • Light meal prep such as fruit preparation and hard-boiled eggs, etc.

Hospitality Expectations:

  • Maintain a high level of guest readiness at all times

  • Anticipate needs and proactively prepare spaces for family and guests

  • Provide thoughtful, elevated touches such as flowers in rooms and fully stocked living spaces

Travel & Housing:

  • Extensive travel required to the Hamptons from Memorial Day through Labor Day, as well as for major holidays (Christmas and spring break)

  • Approximately 4–5 months per year spent in the Hamptons

  • In DC: candidate will share a room and bathroom with the ROTA nanny

  • In the Hamptons: candidate will have a private room and bathroom

  • Open to live-out candidates local to DC who are able to travel as needed

Requirements:

  • Prior professional housekeeping experience in private homes or hospitality settings

  • Strong experience with laundry care, including ironing and linens

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  • Discreet, professional, and trustworthy

  • Proactive and able to take initiative without direction

  • Ability to maintain and follow existing household systems

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Valid driver’s license; personal vehicle preferred for errands

  • Excellent references from previous employers

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Notes:
