About the Family
A warm, welcoming, and collaborative family in Lincoln Park is seeking a nurturing, knowledgeable, and team-oriented nanny to support their growing family. Their 3-year-old son is sweet, affectionate, bright, and loves to learn. He attends school or camp each morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., naps from approximately 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and participates in various extracurricular activities throughout the year. He also attends speech therapy and occupational therapy, and the family values a caregiver who understands child development and enjoys supporting children as they continue to grow.

The family's newborn is just one week old and is eating and sleeping well. The baby is currently combination bottle and breastfed, and while the nanny will primarily be with the 3-year-old, they may occasionally assist with infant care as part of a collaborative, tag-team approach alongside Mom.

Mom is a stay-at-home parent who is looking for a true partner in caring for the children and managing the day-to-day rhythm of the home. Dad works from an office outside of the home. The family places a high value on open communication, teamwork, flexibility, and mutual respect. They are hoping to welcome a nanny who is supportive, proactive, and genuinely enjoys working alongside parents to create a positive and nurturing environment for the entire family.

About the Role
This role is centered around providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the family's children while serving as a trusted partner and extra set of hands for Mom. The nanny will primarily care for the family's 3-year-old son, supporting him through his afternoon routine, engaging him in enriching play and activities, accompanying him to age-appropriate outings or extracurricular activities, and fostering his continued social, emotional, and developmental growth. While the majority of the role focuses on the older child, the nanny will also assist with newborn care as needed, working collaboratively with Mom throughout the day.

The family is seeking a nanny who brings a lighthearted, fun, and outgoing personality while maintaining professionalism, strong communication skills, and excellent judgment. They value someone who is knowledgeable about child development, collaborative by nature, nonjudgmental, and truly enjoys working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will naturally step into a "right-hand" role for Mom, offering support wherever needed while helping create a calm, organized, and joyful home environment.

In addition to childcare responsibilities, the nanny will assist with child-related household tasks to help keep the home running smoothly. Responsibilities include children's laundry, children's meal preparation, bottle cleaning and sanitization, and light household and kitchen tidying related to the children's daily routines and activities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and highly responsible. The family would love to find someone who communicates openly, takes initiative, prioritizes safety, and brings warmth, positivity, and flexibility into their home each day. They are seeking a long-term nanny who will become a trusted and valued member of their family's support system.
