About the Family

A warm, active, and welcoming family in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore is seeking an engaging, dependable, and proactive nanny/family assistant to care for their energetic 2-year-old son. Their son is an outgoing, verbal toddler with a vibrant personality who loves being around other children and thrives when he is engaged through play, exploration, and meaningful connection. He enjoys music, sports, nature, and spending time out in the community, making this an ideal opportunity for a nanny who enjoys planning enriching outings and fostering curiosity through hands-on experiences.

Both parents primarily work from offices outside the home, with Dad occasionally working from a dedicated home office. They are looking for a nanny who will become a trusted extension of their family and who enjoys building a strong, long-term relationship with both parents and their son. The family values communication, collaboration, and a caregiver who naturally takes initiative while maintaining a fun, nurturing, and developmentally focused environment.

About the Role

This position focuses on providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for an active toddler while encouraging learning, exploration, and independence through engaging daily experiences. Responsibilities include school pick-up, planning enriching outings and activities, preparing meals for the child, supporting developmental milestones, and creating a structured yet playful environment where he can continue to thrive.

During the school year, approximately 1.5 hours each day will be dedicated to family assistant responsibilities while the child is in school. Household responsibilities include children's meal preparation, children's laundry, organizing the playroom and children's spaces, changing and washing children's bedding, grocery shopping for the child, household errands, children's inventory management, household tidying, and preparing age-appropriate activities and toys. The family is looking for someone who enjoys helping a household stay organized while remaining flexible and proactive throughout the day.

The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, thoughtful, and developmentally conscious. They are seeking someone who enjoys getting children out into the community, building relationships through local activities and classes, setting healthy boundaries, prioritizing safety, and approaching each day with flexibility, initiative, and enthusiasm.
