About the Family
A warm, welcoming, and easygoing family in Boston's South End is seeking an active, affectionate, and engaging nanny to become an important part of their family's daily life. Their 18-month-old son is energetic, playful, social, and full of curiosity. He loves spending his days exploring Boston through enrichment activities, visits to libraries, museums, parks, and playgrounds, and thrives on opportunities to interact with other children. The family values providing him with enriching experiences that support his social, emotional, and developmental growth.
Mom works from an office outside of the home, while Dad has a hybrid schedule, splitting his time between a home office and an office outside the home. They are seeking a nanny who will confidently take the lead throughout the workday while maintaining open communication and building a collaborative relationship with both parents. The family places a high value on warmth, reliability, flexibility, and creating a positive, nurturing environment where their son can continue to flourish.
About the Role
This role is centered around providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care while creating fun, engaging, and enriching experiences for the family's active toddler. The nanny will spend the majority of the day planning age-appropriate activities, attending local enrichment programs, exploring Boston's parks, museums, libraries, and playgrounds, and encouraging continued learning through play, social interaction, and hands-on experiences. The family is hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys staying active, getting out into the community, and helping foster their son's natural curiosity and love of learning.
The family is seeking a nanny who brings a warm, affectionate, playful, and go-with-the-flow personality while maintaining professionalism, strong communication skills, and excellent judgment. They value someone who is naturally engaging, dependable, socially outgoing, and able to confidently manage the day's activities while creating a calm, loving, and structured environment.
In addition to childcare responsibilities, the nanny will assist with child-related household tasks to help keep the home running smoothly. Responsibilities include preparing meals for the child, putting away the child's laundry, maintaining a seasonal clothing inventory, and providing light tidying of the child's spaces, toys, and belongings.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and highly responsible.
