About the Family

A warm, collaborative, and welcoming family in Chicago's Roscoe Village is seeking an experienced, engaging nanny to become an integral part of their growing family. With a baby girl due in early October, they are looking for someone who is excited to provide attentive care for their older children while confidently supporting their transition into life with three children. The family values teamwork, open communication, and creating a loving, structured home where their children can thrive.

Mom is a stay-at-home parent who is highly involved in the children's daily lives, while Dad primarily works from the office with occasional work-from-home days. They are seeking a nanny who enjoys working alongside an involved parent, communicates openly, and naturally becomes an extension of the family. The household follows a no-screen philosophy and values imaginative play, outdoor activities, and maintaining a clean, organized home environment.

About the Role

This role centers around providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the family's children while supporting their busy schedules and encouraging continued learning through play and exploration. The family's four-year-old daughter will attend school five mornings each week before returning home for quiet time and afternoon activities, including swimming and dance. Their two-and-a-half-year-old son attends a two-hour school program on Tuesdays and Fridays, which the nanny may accompany him to, while also enjoying music, soccer, swimming, and other enriching activities throughout the week.

The family is seeking a nanny who is warm, loving, playful, dependable, and highly engaged. They value someone who is positive, energetic, collaborative, and an excellent communicator with the ability to work closely alongside Mom while confidently taking initiative throughout the day. Infant experience is especially important as the family prepares to welcome their newborn this fall.

In addition to childcare responsibilities, the nanny will assist with child-related household tasks to help keep the home running smoothly. Responsibilities include preparing meals for the children, children's laundry, kitchen tidying, bottle cleaning and sanitation, and light home tidying and organization.

The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and team-oriented, with a genuine love for children and a collaborative mindset. The family hopes to find someone who values a clean, organized home, embraces a screen-free environment, and is excited to build a long-term relationship with their family.
